We’re coming up on the end of the year and Rover has released their annual list of the most popular pet names, and this year, the names are very on-trend.

Rover, a pet sitting/dog walking company, used its customer database and surveyed 1,000 pet owners in the U.S and looked at which names are most popular.

The company said that a lot of names came from TV shows released over the last year like Wanda (“WandaVision”), Daphne (“Bridgerton”) and Grogu (“The Mandalorian”).

Other names becoming more popular in 2021 are Doge and Bitcoin, as well as pets named after Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos.

And don’t think the year could go by without some names inspired by COVID-19 (why??) as there was an increase in names like Fauci and Covid since last year.
