Britney Spears Signs $15 Million Tell-All Book Deal
Move aside, Jamie Lynn, Britney Spears is getting ready to share her side of the story with a tell-all memoir. The “Gimme More” singer has signed a $15 million book deal with publishing house Simon & Schuster for a tell-all memoir, PEOPLE reported.
The news of the book deal follows Jamie Lynn’s book release last month, titled Things I Should Have Said. During the promotional campaign for that book, Britney, 40, fired off a cease and desist letter “from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign. If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”
Last week, the “Stronger” singer shared a letter she received from two members of the United States Congress, congratulating her on her “historic victories” in regards to her conservatorship battle. Spears shared the letter on Instagram, which invited her to meet with congressmen and share her story further. In the letter, it was made it clear that Spears was in no way obligated to attend, but felt that by sharing her experiences she might empower others. Last year, the singer won the legal fight to have her controversial conservatorship terminated after thirteen years.
“I received this letter months ago … An invitation to share my story … I was immediately flattered and at the time I wasn’t nearly at the healing stage I’m in now … Number 1 – I’m grateful that my story was even ACKNOWLEDGED 🙏 !!! Because of the letter ✉️, I felt heard and like I mattered for the first time in my life !!! In a world 🌎 where your own family goes against you, it’s actually hard to find people that get it and show empathy 🤷♀️🙄 !!!! Again, I’m not here to be a victim although I’m the first to admit I’m pretty messed up by it all … I want to help others in vulnerable situations, take life by the balls and be brave 💪 !!! I wish I would have been … I was so scared and nothing is worse than your own family doing what they did to me … I’m lucky to have a small circle of adorable friends who I can count on … In the mean time thank you to Congress for inviting me to the White House …

Meanwhile, on Valentine’s Day, Britney paid tribute to her fiancé, Sam Asghari, with a sweet video featuring the engaged couple riding bikes outside as they joked about a FedEx delivery truck.
“This man has been with me through it all !!!! I don’t know what I would do without him so I think I will keep him around a bit longer …. I mean he is pretty hot 🥵 !!!!!” she captioned the video. “I love you @samasghari 👠👠👠👠👠💕💕💕💕 !!!!”
