Wine Wednesday in Napa Valley

I decided to take the show on the road and spend wine Wednesday in Napa Valley, the mothership.

In California for the week, ZAP, or Zinfandel Advocates & Producers, brought me out here for the annual ZinEX wine show, and to discover the California Zin Trail, a trail of great zinfandel producers that traverses the state.

When it comes to Napa, most people think of cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay but there are some winemakers here making beautiful zinfandels that aren't sweet alcohol bombs, but lovely, well balanced wines that go with a range of foods.

I put together a photo gallery of some of the Napa zins we tasted and places we visited to inspire you on this wine Wednesday to try something new. I'll be sharing more later but for  now, cheers to Wine Wednesday in Napa Valley.
