Pumpkin Pie Blizzards Return To Dairy Queen
We might be sweltering in the summer heat, however, fall is just around the corner. And in food news, the Pumpkin Pie Blizzards return to Dairy Queen. The Blizzard is a legendary dessert on its own. Soft serve ice cream is blended with all kinds of candy and sweets. While there are standards and signature blends, the seasonal ones are what keep many dessert fans on their toes.
And then, there are legions of devotees to all things pumpkin flavored for fall and the holidays. Pumpkin spiced lattes and teas, pumpkin air fresheners and candles, you name it. Now DQ is getting back into the action with this week’s announcement.
This seasonal Blizzard takes chunks of the famous holiday dessert, pumpkin pie, and blends it with DQ’s famous soft serve vanilla ice cream. The combo doesn’t stop there. It is then topped with whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg. It’s kind of hard to imagine, however, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it.
