Coldest Southwest Florida Christmas Since 1990’s
Looks like us Floridians are going to have quite a chilly Christmas, for our standards. Jason Dunning from NBC-2 says reports are showing this will be the coldest Christmas in Southwest Florida since the mid 1990’s!
It's a chilly, brisk morning across Southwest Florida! Temps in the 50s and 40s, and that breeze is making the air feel even colder. And if you think this is cold, get ready for the coldest Christmas in #swfl over 2 decades! @NBC2 pic.twitter.com/Jt3nNjSjA8

Just how cold will it be?
According to Mike’s Weather Page, could Christmas morning snowflakes could fall in the Gulf? It can happen IMO. But an outside chance… yes. Gulf moisture flowing in from the west combining with some cold AM temps could drop in a few flakes. Latest EURO here showing on top of my house haha. It’s fun to dream right?” he adds.
So, while it doesn’t look like we will get the flurries this far south, here’s what we can expect.
Fort Myers is looking at a low of 39 degrees into Christmas morning, according to a Weather Channel report. Highs on Christmas Day are expected to stay below 60 degrees, at 56 degrees.
That’s definitely not what we’re used to down here! There probably will be a lot of indoor time this year!
