Florida Woman Suing Chocolate Company Over Packaging Details
I love reading about silly lawsuits and one Florida woman is suing a major chocolate company over packaging details.
We are definitely living in a world of sue-happy people. Frivolous lawsuits pop up left and right. When you go to open candy, you probably don’t pay that much attention to details. Maybe you even bought some yourself ahead of trick-or-treating in Fort Myers. You open the package, put it in the bowl to hand out, and you’re ready for the festivities to begin. Well, one Florida woman paid maybe a little too much attention to detail. And now, she’s going after The Hershey Company hoping to receive $5 million dollars for false advertising.
Florida Woman Suing Chocolate Company Over False Advertising
Sometimes I really wonder what people do with their lives if they have this much time to think about things like this. Cynthia Kelly is suing The Hershey Company over their fall and winter Reese’s candy. She said that these treats did not have details like mouths and eyes that you can see on the package. The candy named in the lawsuit includes the Reese’s pumpkins, the ghost, bats, footballs, snowmen, stockings and bells. According to WFTV, the lawsuit says that consumers have been tricked and misled by the pictures on the packaging. Now, apparently, there are some other videos online of others complaining about the lack of detail on the candy, but a $5 million lawsuit, C’MON! She is also requesting the company change the candy’s packaging.
Good luck to her.
