1 Florida City Makes List Of Best For Beer
I feel like no matter where you live in the Sunshine State, you don’t have to look far for a cold one, but 1 Florida city has made a list of the cities best for beer in the country.
One of my favorite things to do when I’m traveling, and even here in town, is to visit different breweries. I always enjoy trying something new. In fact, it was just a few weeks ago that I went to Scotty’s Bier Works in Cape Coral for the first time. There are so many great breweries in Southwest Florida and each have a little something different to offer. Whether it’s the beer that sets them apart, events that they hold or the ambiance, there’s something for everyone.
My dad is a big fan of porters, my brother loves IPAs and I’m more a fan of the wheat and fruit beers. But the beauty of a visit to a craft brewery, is the variety to suit everybody’s taste. And while we may think area area is great, there’s one city Florida that has made of a list of the best in the country for beer.
Florida City Makes List Of Best For Beer
Jacksonville came in at #6 on the list of 10Best Beer Cities in the U.S. The list was created by a panel of experts and readers of the publication voting on cities based on their beer scenes. “That means stellar collections of established and up-and-coming breweries, beer bars, brewpubs, beer festivals, and even thriving homebrewing communities where a novice brewer can get their foot in the door.”
Much like we have the SWFL Ale Trail, the Jax Ale Trail was mentioned which takes beer lovers on a journey to different breweries to collect stamps for prizes. A place to visit when you’re in town is Goozlepipe & Guttyworks at Kickbacks, which not only is home to one of the largest beer cellars in the Southeast, but also features over 200 beers on tap and 1,000 bottles.
