Cape Coral Man Arrested For Throwing Beer Bottles At Margaritaville On Fort Myers Beach
Spring Break is a time when things tend to get a little crazy on Fort Myers Beach, but leave to one Cape Coral man who got arrested this week for throwing beer bottles at Margaritaville on Fort Myers Beach.
Now that the snowbirds have left Fort Myers, it’s a little less busy around town. The roads are less congested, parking lots are a little less full, but the beaches are still hoppin’. It has gotten hot really quick around here. But less busy doesn’t equate less problems and one Cape Coral man seemed to be having just too much fun at Margaritaville on Fort Myers Beach.
Cape Coral Man Arrested For Throwing Beer Bottles At Margaritaville On Fort Myers Beach
NBC2 reports that 23 year-old Connor Michael Thurman from Cape Coral was arrested after throwing beer bottles off the 4th floor at Margaritaville and then refusing to leave. Now, I understand having a good time and not wanting leave, but I’m not sure throwing glass bottles off a balcony is going to do you any favors.
Deputies went up to his room to confront him, but after refusing to answer the door, they went down to a lower balcony yelling up to him to open up. Eventually when he opened the door, police gave him 10 minutes to leave the room, but he decided instead to start an argument with his girlfriend and continue drinking beer. Seeing that that’s what started this whole mess in the first place, it wasn’t a good move. Between deputies and hotel security, they tried to take the beer from his hand, but he resisted in a way that knocked all 3 to the ground.
Thurman’s staycation ended early as he was taken from one resort the another. From the Margaritaville Beach Resort to the Marceno Motel. He is now facing charges of trespassing and resisting officers without violence.
