In The Nude: Florida Man Busted for Naked Parade in RV Park

It’s always funny to see a weirdo in the nude here in Florida. Meet Rolf Braun, a 73-year-old who decided to strut his stuff in the nude around his neighborhood. According to FOX35, this unusual stroll happened at an RV Resort in Lady Lake on a Sunday afternoon, and let’s just say, it didn’t end well for Braun.

Around 1:30 p.m., the Lady Lake Police got a call about a naked dude making his rounds on Highway 466. When the police showed up, they found witnesses who claimed that Braun was walking around his RV lot, in the nude, without a single bit of clothing. This wasn’t a case of some lost bathing suit on the beach, this was full-on carefree nudity.

An officer approached Braun’s camper, and Braun answered the door in a very unique fashion choice. This dude was rocking a T-shirt, but he was wearing it like shorts. How, you ask? His genitals were sticking out through the neck hole of the shirt! If that’s not a weird fashion statement, I don’t know what is.

As the police tried to arrest him, Braun decided it was a good time to get REAL uncooperative. However, the officers managed to slap the cuffs on him anyway. Braun, argued that since Florida has nude beaches, he should be allowed to walk around in the nude. It is his neighborhood, after all. In his mind, he should be able to freak out his neighbors and make random people uncomfortable. It’s America, right? Well, it’s safe to say, the police did not agree with this logic.

Now, Braun finds himself sitting in the Lake County Jail, fully clothed. His “in the nude” escapade cost him a $2,000 bond. Maybe next time, he’ll keep his nude attire for his birthday only.

Two Of The Best Nude Beaches In The World Are In Florida

It’s rare in the U.S. to come across a nude beach, but two of the best nude beaches in the world are right here in Florida.

Picture this: you arrive at the beach, whether it be Sanibel, Fort Myers, Naples or Bonita, wearing your best bikini, ready to unwind and enjoy hot summer sun. Then you look to your left, and to your right, and see people wearing a little less than you, or nothing at all. It’s a common sight in Europe, but here in the U.S. not so much. However, there are some nude beaches to be found and in fact, two in Florida are among the best in the world.

I feel like a serious hazard for nude sunbathing would be the sun. Sure, your arms, legs and face get exposure day to day, but some parts of us don’t regularly see the sun. It might be a two person job to get to those hard-to-reach areas. Let’s also not forget that sand is, well, sandy. I always say my least favorite part of the beach is the sand. It’s pretty and feels good between your toes, but if you’re in the buff that sand can get to places sand should never go.

A swimwear company called Pour Moi put out its list of the best beaches in the world for nude sunbathing. In Florida, two beaches made the list. Coming in at #20, Playalinda Beach located inside Canaveral National Seashore in Brevard County. Haulover Beach Park in Miami came in at #1. You can see the full list here. The top 5 are below.

  • 5. PLAYA DE LOS MUERTOS – ALMERIA, SPAIN

    Playa de los Muertos is known as the ‘entrance gate’ to Cabo de Gata-Níjar natural park. This park has some of the best nude beaches in Spain.

  • 4. PATARA BEACH – PATARA, TURKEY

    Patara Beach is the longest beach on the Turkish Riviera. Not only great for sunbathing, this beach also offers horseback riding and surfing.

  • 3. RED BEACH – SANTORINI, GREECE

    Red Beach gets its name from the red lava rocks. They make for great scenery and also offer a cover while nude sunbathing.

    Praia de Tambaba is a clothing optional beach. The gorgeous water and soft, white sand make for a great setting for sunbathing.

    Haulover Beach Park in Miami takes the top spot. It’s a hot spot year-round in South Florida and if you want to bring the family, there are designated spots for those looking to sunbathe nude.
