Meet Mystic, she is the new Sunny Pet Of The Month. She currently resides at the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers and we need your help in finding her a forever home.

When Mystic arrived at the studio, she was super shy and almost scared. That often happens when shelter animals arrive to a strange place and unknown people. However, there is a little more to this story.

When Mystic was found, she was huddled under a trailer with a litter of puppies. She showed obvious signs of abuse and neglect. She is a true "rescue" dog.

More About The New Sunny Pet Of The Month

Mystic is a black mouth cur (hound) mix. She is thought to be about 2 years old. When she arrived at the shelter, she weighed 36 pounds but is now a healthy 50.

Since being at the shelter, she has learned to walk on a leash and is slowly opening up to people. She does, however, like other animals.

Some dogs that have been neglected are not approachable but with soft talk and kindness, Mystic warmed right up to me. Oh, and a scratch under the chin sealed the deal. By the time she left, you could tell she had relaxed

She is super calm, likes to walk and when she feels safe, is a great lap dog. If you are looking for a peaceful companion, Mystic is for you.

She is so sweet and it breaks my heart to see her scars. She deserves a life of love. Can you help us find her a home? Please share this post on your social media accounts, with co-workers and friends.

Just some sweet talk, a little scratch under the chin and Mystic perked up, let her guard down.

Mystic is so laid back and calm. She's had several litters of pups but has been spayed and is ready for adoption.
