A local Naples spot, Cracklin' Jacks at 2560 39th St. SW., will make its national TV debut on Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" this February 21 at 9 p.m.
The staff broke the exciting news in a recent Facebook post. "This is a huge accomplishment for Cracklin' Jacks and we are super excited and humbled to have been selected," they told Naples News.
For almost 30 years, this local favorite has been cooking up real Florida cuisine. Their menu features crowd-pleasers like crispy fried green tomatoes, fresh gator bites, and tender frog legs. Naples local Terri G. wrote on Yelp, giving five stars: "They offer a variety of down south options, including alligator and frog legs."
Guy Fieri, the show's popular host, chose this restaurant as his third Naples spot in recent months. He's already shot episodes at The Local Restaurant on Airport-Pulling Road and wrapped up filming at The Rooster Food+Drink just weeks ago.
The visit lines up well with Fieri's upcoming appearance at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, happening February 20-23. He'll be hosting "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives LIVE" at Miami Beach's American Airlines North Venue.
At 1 Lincoln Road, thirty top chefs will come together for this Miami event. Visitors can try special dishes from cooks throughout the country.
This marks another Naples visit for Fieri. He checked out Pazzo Cucina Italiana back in 2020, then opened his own Flavortown Kitchen in the area the next year.
While viewers wait for the show to air, the restaurant keeps busy. Cracklin' Jacks is planning a viewing party and still serves up their famous sawgrass shrimp, crispy catfish, and hot hush puppies to happy customers.
