Resurgence Brewing Expands to Fort Myers With Beer, Food, and Rock Climbing Hub

Resurgence Brewing Company is heading to Fort Myers. The location will have a taproom, restaurant, and climbing gym under one roof. Central Rock Gym will handle the climbing walls while Resurgence pours beers and serves meals.

A covered outdoor garden offers space to relax in Florida's weather. Inside, the full-service taproom will feature the brewery's lineup.

Buffalo classics like chicken wings and beef on weck will anchor the menu. Chefs plan to blend these with dishes that nod to Southwest Florida's flavors.

"We're thrilled to bring a piece of Buffalo to Southwest Florida," said Jeff Ware, owner and CEO of Resurgence Brewing Company, according to WGRZ. "This space is designed to deliver the Resurgence experience that our Buffalo community knows and loves — great beer, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere — with a local Southwest Florida twist."

This represents the first time Ware has taken his brewery past New York's borders. Since founding the company in Buffalo, he's built a loyal base among local beer fans.

Seagate Development Group is managing construction. 

Work has started at the Fort Myers property, but no opening date has been set.
