Volunteers in Fort Myers are gathering donations for Jamaican towns hit by Hurricane Melissa. Dr. Deanie Singh Brown runs the work at Premier Mobile Clinic with help from other organizers.
They need canned food, clothes, dry milk, solar lights and chargers, insect repellent, sheets, and items for babies, with diapers and wipes topping the list. Drop off what you can at Premier Mobile Clinic on Colonial Boulevard. You can also give through The Collaboratory.
Dr. Brown partners with Stacy Lee-Williams, Cornell Bunting, and Michelle Hylton-Terry from the Fort Myers Community Redevelopment Agency.
Social media keeps donors in the loop about what's happening. Check their Facebook page if you want updates or details about the work.
