Meghan Trainor isn’t just back — she’s bolder, brighter, and louder than ever. On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter announced her new album Toy With Me and dropped the first single, “Still Don’t Care.” The song may bounce with a catchy pop beat, but underneath the fun is a fierce message: Trainor’s done letting strangers on the internet decide how she feels about herself.

Turning Pain into Power

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Trainor opened up about what sparked the song. “My page is usually a friendly, happy, mom-loving place, but it took a dark turn,” she shared.

What caused that shift? Unkind comments about her body. “People started commenting about my body, saying I'm too thin, and that they don't recognize me anymore,” Trainor said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, I've just been focusing so hard on my health and my fitness that I've never felt better.’ So, I was confused and sad and was like, ‘Oh, it's almost worse now.’ I don't know what happened.”

Like anyone might, Trainor found herself hurt — even in tears — after reading the comments. Through therapy, she started to question why she gave “strangers” so much “power.” That’s when the idea for “Still Don’t Care” took shape.

The Therapy Anthem

“I liked the idea of... ‘Let me think about it one more time. Nope, I still don’t care,” Trainor said. “And I know that when I start singing it, it’ll be my therapy, my exposure therapy.”

Her signature humor and honesty shine through in the lyrics, where she shrugs off critics who say she’s “doing too much.” It’s a line she’s heard all her life — and now she’s owning it with pride.

“I believe in it so much and I love it so much,” Trainor said. “I think it’s so important, especially now more than ever, the world's a very dark, hateful place. If this is a little bit of light in the world, that’d be sick.”

A Tour with Heart

Trainor isn’t stopping at just a song or an album. She’s taking her message on the road. Her Get in Girl Tour will kick off in Clarkston, Michigan, in June 2026, with over 30 shows across North America. The tour will wrap on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles — and a portion of ticket sales will support The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ youth.

Tickets go on general sale Friday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. local time at Meghan-Trainor.com, with presales starting Nov. 18 and 19.

A Confident New Chapter

Toy With Me drops April 24, and if “Still Don’t Care” is any preview, this new era is all about self-worth, joy, and unapologetic confidence.

After years of catchy hooks and empowering lyrics, Meghan Trainor is still writing her own rules — and, clearly, she still doesn’t care what anyone else thinks.
