Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce hosts the 37th annual Christmas Boat Parade on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Salty Sam's Marina. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.
Boats draped in lights will wind through Estero Bay in a spectacle that launches from the marina. The course moves northwest under Matanzas Pass Bridge, sweeps past the U.S. Coast Guard station, cuts through Estero Pass, and glides along Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina before doubling back toward Matanzas Harbor.
This year brings a second loop through the back bay, giving more chances to catch the illuminated boats.
Live music fills Bayside Veterans Park on Old San Carlos Boulevard for parade watchers. Waterfront restaurants dotting the bay offer prime viewing locations.
Spectators can cast votes for their top pick to determine the People's Choice Winner or register to participate on the Fort Myers Beach Chamber website.
The Chamber of Commerce can answer any questions by calling 239-454-7500.
