Estero held a groundbreaking ceremony for High 5, a sports and recreation facility at Estero Village Hub north of Williams Road and east of Via Coconut Point. The complex will feature six indoor pickleball courts, 15 outdoor pickleball courts, 36 holes of mini golf, bowling, and arcades.

A large screen will hang outside for live games and movie nights. A sports-themed restaurant will anchor the project.

High 5 represents the first of several entertainment projects planned for the community. The development aims to bring sports and recreation into one location.

"We hope to attract everyone from Naples to Fort Myers. We hope to have further venues that they will be able to enjoy while they're here," said Mayor Joanne Ribble, according to Gulf Coast News.

Ribble said the project marks a turning point for the area. "Initially, Estero had nothing. We are a new city and we are building it from scratch. So, typically, we didn't have anything for our families. It is a milestone because finally, Estero will have some place to play for our families here in the city," Ribble said.

Scott Emley, founder of High 5 Entertainment, said the location creates a single destination. "When you think about what Estero has done to combine not just the entertainment venue, which we're humbled to be a part of, but to add all of the youth and amateur sports and programming around it, it truly creates a destination, a one park. You know, you park your car, one destination," said Emley.

The overall sports park master plan calls for upgraded parks, walking trails, and green spaces around the new campus. The official opening is set for fall 2026.
