Fort Myers Hiring Event To Offer Job Coaching and Direct Access to Employers

Better Together and Christ Community Church will host a hiring event on Jan. 15 in Fort Myers. Job seekers can meet hiring managers, get free resume help, and one-on-one coaching sessions will be provided at no cost.

Better Together is a nonprofit that works with families and children across the region, bringing support where it's needed most. The group has teamed up with the local church to organize the fair, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4050 Continental Blvd.

Organizers said the event aims to help people build connections that can lead to lasting employment opportunities. Attendees will have direct access to managers from companies spanning various sectors.

Employers from health care, staffing, retail, and public service industries are expected to attend. Confirmed participants include A Perfect Choice Home Care, Humana, Mancan Staffing, McKenney Home Care, New Horizons of Southwest Florida, Reece Windows and Doors, and Waste Pro of Florida.

More employers and resource partners are expected to join before the date arrives. The event will provide resources for attendees who need help preparing for interviews or updating their work history documents.

Job seekers can register on the Better Together website. Employers interested in participating can also sign up through the same platform.
