After the week we had in Southwest Florida with Hurricane Idalia, you might just be wanting to getaway for a bit. Travel is also on the top of mind for many in advance of Labor Day Weekend. Timing is perfect for this week’s Fabulous Find. You will find elegance and zen at this wine country getaway, a one of a kind retreat in Napa Valley. This getaway has Sunny 106.3 listeners names written all over it. It is the Bardessono Hotel and Spa in the town of Yountville. I stayed here last month on a media trip and wish I could click my heels and return.
A 5-Star, award-winning hotel, it consistently ranks on lists of the best hotels in the United States. Conscious living is the theme. Surrounded by luxury, the hotel also embraces sustainability and is environmentally friendly, which feels even better from a guest perspective. Built from salvaged wood, there is a lot of natural light and solar panels on the roofs. It’s clean and contemporary with a rustic elegance.
The property is arranged in sections with courtyards, water features and bridges, to give a feeling of intimacy. In fact, I could hear the soothing sounds of water everywhere. Including my private patio. It was a great space to meditate in the morning, sit with coffee, and take time to prep for the work day. Also, nice in the evening with glass of wine.
More Wine Country Getaway
The room was spacious and incredibly comfortable with a bathroom and wardrobe area larger than my guest room. The bathtub made me giddy. It was so deep, I could fully submerge. I filled it with bubbles that covered my head and felt like a little girl. Put on a fluffy robe and slippers, flip the switch on the fireplace and I couldn’t ask for a better ending to a busy day.
Other amenities include a rooftop swimming pool and outdoor gym. There is a spa, however, most of the spa services are tailored for in your room. Lucy Restaurant and Bar focuses on local and sustainable products. The chef gets much of the produce from the lush hotel garden. They also have new villas that are perfect for families and offer even more privacy. Finally, the resort is dog friendly.
In addition to the photos below, click here to see a quick video I made. It’s perfection when it comes to a getaway. Eco conscious luxury, an oasis in the middle of a small but bustling town full of wine tasting rooms and Michelin starred restaurants, all walkable. I can’t wait to return to this Fabulous Find.
