Grateful Palate Wine Tasting At Remedies Parlor. I’ve been waiting all week for Wine Wednesday so I could share this fun tasting event. Dan Philips was in Southwest Florida last week, from Spain where he makes most of his Grateful Palate portfolio. A couple of the wines are also made in the Bordeaux region of France.

If you are looking at these labels and thinking, I’ve recently seen something on these, you are not going crazy. Dan was in the area back in November with his new wine releases. More about that here. He marches to the beat of his own drum and has been a bit of a trend setter in the wine world. If you read the post in the link above, you’ll find out he was the first winemaker to use old bourbon barrels in the aging process. When Dan was here in the fall, some of the wines he brought had just been bottled and needed time to settle down. Boy have they settled down into some nice wines. It was so much fun to try them again. Especially in this setting.
Dan is super knowledgeable and surprised a lot of people when it comes to his no nonsense approach to wine. You can tell by his labels he likes to have fun but is also serious about producing good juice. Here is a quick video from the tasting:
It’s not the first time I’ve attended or assisted with a wine event at Remedies Parlor. Recently, I shared photos from a great night with Brian Page and Revolver Wine, see those photos and video here. It was such a great time that we just had to do it again. Thanks Anthony and Tyna for hosting a great event and to Green Cup Cafe for the vegan fare that blew us all away.
