The first Thursday of each month, we get a visit from the Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) in Fort Myers. Today we met Bella the new Sunny Pet of the Month. She charmed us all.
Bella arrived with Kristin Sampson, the operations manager of GCHS. She had the adorable dog overnight to prepare for the big radio debut. Apparently Bella likes to cuddle and is a good lap dog. She is small enough to make it easy on her person.
About The New Sunny Pet Of The Month
Bella arrived at the GCHS from the Labelle Animal Control. They found her as a stray so shelter folks are still learning about her. What IS known is that Bella is a 2-year-old chihuahua mix that weighs about six pounds so she is perfect for condo and apartment dwellers.
She was only slightly skittish when she arrived but warmed up quickly to everyone. Bella is very affectionate, she is a playful dog, and she is full of personality.
Although she is still learning how to walk on a leash, she will be a great companion for someone who likes going on walks. She really likes to explore. Bella was good in the car and in a crate too.
Now we need your help in finding her a forever home. Please share this post and these photos with your friends and colleagues. This is a great dog that will make someone very happy.
If you already have a pet in your home, you are encouraged to arrange a meet and greet with Bella or any other animal you are thinking of adopting to make sure they are compatible. You can look on the GCHS’s website to see all of the animals currently looking for a forever home.
