Mornings With Gina Birch

This morning when I said Polar Bear needs a home, you should’ve seen the looks that I got from my co-workers. No, not an actual bear. But this big bear of a dog. Polar Bear is at the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers and needs a home. What a sweet dog. Folks on the hallway could not get enough of him. He was super chill and soaked up all of the love and hugs. Trust me, he got lots of them too.

About Polar Bear

This is an older dog, 5 1/2 years old. Brian Weirima brought Polar Bear in and described him as an “old soul” also. The dog apparently embraces R & R, rest and relaxation. Nice to know if you are looking for an animal that is more calm than over active. He’s a sturdy dog weighing in at approximately 70 pounds. Polar Bear is a boxer mix and is good with people and other animals.

However, Brian always suggests introducing new animals to ones you currently have first. Just to be sure they get along. Those introductions can be made at the shelter.

Thank you once again to everyone who came out last Saturday to our adoption event with Achieva Credit Union. We picked up the tab on all adoptions during our broadcast. The total number of dogs and cats that went home with families was 20. Click here to see some of them. The dogs were so cute and the cats adorable as well. IF you came out but left alone, please check back. New animals come in all of the time and staffers want to get them out and into good homes.

Polar Bear needs a home. Here are some photos of this great dog.
