National Hot Dog Day is celebrated on the third Wednesday of July, according to National Calendar Day. So this year the holiday falls on July 19th, 2023. July is actually known as National Hot Dog month too. The more you know.
In honor of the holiday, I wanted to give you the inside scoop on where you might find some hot dog deals right here in Southwest Florida. Most of the deals I found are for gas stations and chain restaurants. Not like that’s a bad thing though. Gas station hot dogs are damn good if you ask me.
But, because we are all about showing love to small Southwest Florida businesses, we’ve included a few local joints for you to check out too. If they don’t have a deal up their sleeve, at least you know you’re getting a top notch dog.
So, I will start the list off with some local hot dog spots you might want to try. And I’ll wrap it up with some deals you can find on July 19th.
Unfortunately, a couple of the local favorites like The Dog House on Ft. Myers Beach and Schnapper’s Hots on Sanibel, remain closed due to Hurricane Ian.
