In advance of National Dog Day (August 26) we’ve found the best cities for dog lovers in the United States. Not surprising to many, Florida cities ranked quite high. In fact, one even secured the top spot. Can you guess which one?
LawnStarter say they “sniffed out” the best cities for dog lovers by considering things like businesses that welcome pups, think dog friendly restaurants. Affordability for pet lovers and laws favorable to pets was another factor. They also looked at things such as housing services and care. In all 24 indicators were taken into consideration.

Keep in mind the cities ranked are the biggest in the U.S. So while your town might be all about the dogs, if it’s small, it likely wont show up here.
So, who let the dogs out, and the dogs liked it? Spoiler alert here, Orlando ranked number one.
One more spoiler alert. The worst city for dog lovers is Detroit.
