Get ready to dust off your air guitar- Cheap Trick is performing a free concert in Clearwater.

Clearwater is about to rock like never before. Cheap Trick with special guest Robin Zander will hit the stage for a free concert next month. Yes, you read that right – FREE! The city of Clearwater is pulling out all the stops on June 28 to bring this unforgettable musical experience to its residents. Not only will you be entertained by an iconic rock band, but it’s to celebrate the opening of a brand-new venue.

The Sound is a brand-new amphitheater in Coachman Park. The venue will have 4,000 covered seats with room on the lawn for another 5,000 people. In addition to the amphitheater, the downtown waterfront as a whole underwent a renovation that also now includes a garden and a playground as well. That area was so beautiful already, I can’t wait to see what it looks like now.

The Cheap Trick concert is just one of many performing this summer in Clearwater at The Sound. While there is some other free entertainment, most of the concerts you will need to purchase a ticket for. You can find more info here
