Miami Named One Of The World’s Best Cities For 2023
Being from Chicago, there are some things that I miss about living in a big city. However, there are definitely some perks to living in a smaller city like less traffic and less expensive rent and drinks/food. But if you do enjoy city life, we’re pretty lucky living here in SWFL that major cities Tampa and Miami are just a few hours away.
In 2022, Miami landed on a bunch of lists. They were named one of the world’s greatest places by TIME. They were also named one of the best cities for art and music lovers by Workamajig. Now, in 2023, they’ve made a list of the World’s Best Cities for 2023 by Resonance.
What makes a city the best?
Resonance looked at 100 cities all over the world. They chose cities for their list of the best based on those with a population with over 1 million people and also where they ranked in terms of place, programming, prosperity, product, people and promotion. Miami came in at #52 on the list of the world’s best cities. Miami is also the 7th most Instagrammed city on the planet!
Resonance wrote “Surely our crystalline, blue waters and wonderful beaches stand out, but it’s our acceptance to newcomers and multiculturalism that really take the cake. The city’s natural attributes have always captured the world’s imagination and crystalized its hedonistic brand. But it’s Miami’s openness to immigrants (and, more recently, the LGBTQ+ community) that has people buzzing.”
Pretty cool that a quick drive down Tamiami leads us to one of the best cities in the world.
