The latest weather report has upgraded SWFL to a Tropical Storm Watch for Friday into Saturday. Southwest Florida is expected to see potential named storm Alex make landfall.
The concern is not necessarily the wind at this point, but rather the amount of rain and the flooding that could come along with it.
