The numbers are in from the National Weather Service, so which Southwest Florida City Was Coldest This Morning? I’ll get to that. North Florida saw temperatures dip into the low 20s! Most of the Tampa and Orlando areas hovered right around the freezing point. South Florida dipped into the 30s, some areas of SWFL even fell below freezing. It was even colder in the Tampa area. The coldest spot looks to have been Live Oak, Florida. WCTV reports they actually got into the teens. 19… but still! Live Oak is about halfway between Tallahassee and Jacksonville near the Georgia border. I can’t imagine what my dog would do if it was in the teens here. She barely wanted to go outside these past two mornings as it is.
If you want Florida warmth, it’ll be back Tuesday – but for now, the best we can do is point you to Key West. They were in the 50s this morning. Still a little cold to be drinking outside, but I’m sure they did anyway. But as cold as it is here in Florida this morning, we’ve got it much better than the rest of the country. Parts of the northeast is buried under 2 feet of snow. Boston had more snow in a single day in recorded history, according to NPR. I posted some pictures from Boston below if you want to check out some snow. That’s one of my sayings. I love watching snow. On tv. In Florida.
Here’s some of the low temperatures in Southwest Florida, and see which Southwest Florida City was the coldest.
