Taking care of our feet is at times, the least of our priorities. We even hesitate to buy foot care products since some can be costly. This shouldn’t be the case, though, since our feet have been doing an important job of carrying us, and hey, they deserve some TLC, too! Besides, if you’re tired of your 9-5 job, you can quit and sell your feet pics instead! Kidding aside (or am I?), there are different reasons why you should take care of your feet aside from making money off them:

Flip-flop season is all year round in some areas: If you’re lucky enough to visit one of these places or live in one, and you wear your flip-flops with your Hobbit feet as if you trekked through Middle Earth, do yourself a favor and crop all your travel pics from the waist up!

You need to think about your masseuse: For the love of humanity, your masseuse is already working through all the kinks in your body. Be considerate and don’t turn your rough and callused heels feel into a cheese grater for their hands.

Socks need to come off eventually: Sure, you spent a lot of money on cute, fuzzy socks (because they hide the literal ugly truth), but they need to come off eventually. Unless, of course, you shower or swim with your socks on, and that’s just weird.

You don’t want to vacuum your carpet every day: If you don’t want to vacuum your carpet every day or walk around leaving a trail of dead skin behind, head over to the nearest salon and get a foot spa and foot scrub pronto!

You need to think of others: No one should suffer because of the pungent smell of your unkempt feet, worsened by your sweat after a workout.

  • Foot Peel Mask

Another way to exfoliate your feet besides an electric callus remover or a pumice stone, is by using a foot peel mask. Put your feet into the mask and let it soak. After soaking, wash your feet with soap and the dead skin cells will peel off naturally within 5-7 days. Pro tip: stick to closed-toe shoes during this time—don’t scare off your colleague with your feet looking like a snake shedding its skin!
