Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ralphie Marino, your new Morning Host on Sunny 106-3!! Now that the first week is in the books, I wanted to take a few moments and properly introduce myself to you, our wonderful listeners, clients, and friends I am reconnecting with, who smartly moved to SWFL years ago.
A little bit about me, I am from Long Island, New York. I come here from Cape Cod, Mass, where I hosted the morning show on WQRC, 99.9 The Q, and the midday show on the country station for my former company, Cape Country 104. I also worked at the same time in Boston, where I worked for Beasley/Boston, which is a part of the Beasley Media Group, which owns Sunny 106.3. I was the weekend/fill-in personality at our sister Country station, WKLB/Country 102.5. It kept me very busy, which I like to be.
I am divorced, my kid’s mom, and my (2) 12-year-old kids, whom we adopted from foster care when they were babies, have been living here for the past year and a half… They are 6 months apart in age, and will be making the move to middle school!!. I needed to be a more active co-parent to them, as they both have some special needs. That’s why being here is such a blessing. We also have 3 older children. I’m sure you will see them all at some point!
I am a long-suffering New York Mets AND Jets fan (I know, I know) I have an appreciation for the Boston teams as well, my kids did most of their growing up in New England, and they are die-hards!!
I am so very excited to become a contributing member to my new community, and I look forward to seeing you as I am out and about with my family. To be able to be here is humbling and awesome! I am addicted to my phone and social media, as you all will see 🙂
I am also a dedicated beach bum, and you will find me there whenever I can get there.
