Only Murders In The Building is gearing up for its return to Hulu for its third (and allegedly, final) season on August 8. After a one-year time jump, Mabel (Selena Gomez) attends the opening night of Oliver’s (Martin Short) new Broadway show, which Charles (Steve Martin) also stars in. Picking up where this cliffhanger left off, in season three, the trio will be investigating another murder.

The season will also be welcoming some other A-List celebrities you know and love like Paul Rudd and Meryl Strep! Other newcomers are Jesse Williams, Ashley Park (TikTok-addicted starlet Kimber), Jeremy Shamos, Linda Emond, and Wesley Taylor. Ryan Broussard returns as Will Putnam, Oliver's son. Michael Cyril Creighton’s character, Howard Morris, is upped to a series regular for the series’ third outing.

In the newly released season three trailer, it was revealed that Da’Vine Joy Randolph is reprising her role as Detective Williams, a blonde Tina Fey as Cinda Canning, and Jane Lynch's Sazz Pataki returns. A famous face that caught our eye in the trailer is Matthew Broderick in an undisclosed role.

Showrunner John Hoffman explained to The Hollywood Reporter that, “If season one was a little more focused on the emotional storyline for Mabel and Tim Kono, and season two was a little more emotionally connected to Charles and his relationship with his father and himself, I’m very excited to both lean into the theatrical side of New York City and also into Oliver and his world.”
