Per Deadline, the film rights to Linda And Monica, a film about the friendship of Linda Tripp and Monica Lewinsky, has been acquired by Amazon Studios.
For those of you just waking from a coma, Tripp was a White House aide, and Lewinsky was a White House intern during the Bill Clinton administration. The two struck up a friendship, which promptly ended when Tripp leaked her secretly recorded conversations with Lewinsky about her affair with President Clinton. (It was kind of a big story.)
No word yet as to whether this will be a drama or a comedy, but if Saturday Night Live has any influence on casting, we definitely know who should play Tripp.
