Mismatched Shoes Are Apparently The Next Big Fashion Trend

When we think of mismatched shoes, we think of embarrassment.

However, thanks to Hollywood, this accidental mistake could become the next big fashion trend. You may be thinking to yourself, “how could a fashion fail be a fashion-forward moment?” The look was spotted during runway shows. Designers like Celine, Calvin Klein and Moschino all had models strutting their stuff while wearing non-matching shoes.

Well, if it happens on the runway, we are bound to start seeing it on a few Hollywood a-listers. According to Yahoo, both Selena Gomez and Nicole Kidman have been caught at events sporting the latest trend.

During the InStyle Awards, Selena Gomez posed while wearing two different geometric heels. Granted, the color matched, but the heels were completely mismatched. Her shoes were designed by Jacquemus and was complimented with a simple hair, makeup and dress selection.

Nicole Kidman rocked the trend at the 69^th Primetime Emmy Awards. Kidman wore a blush pink pair of Calvin Klein strappy heals that had two different rhinestone patterns. She matched the look with a stunning red dress, which also featured a lot of bling.

Naomie Harris also walked down the red carpet with a yellow version of the same shoe at the 89^th Annual Academy Awards.

Twitter, of course, had a lot to say about this style. One Twitter user, Robynn Hales named that “Carrie Bradshaw first wore mismatched shoes in the LA episode of #SATC!” Girl, we thought we were the only ones to notice that! Carrie Bradshaw and her crew were always ahead of the times.

Other people decided to hope on board the style train by posting their own rendition of the look. Needless to say, they were a little more comfortable than the star’s stunning styles.
