Earlier this year, a previously unreleased Tom Petty song, "For Real," was made commercially available on The Best of Everything - The Definitive Career Spanning Hits Collection 1976-2016.
Today (December 20), a new version of the song -- featuring Jakob Dylan, Dhani Harrison (son of George), Willie Nelson and his sons Lukas Nelson and Micah Nelson, and singer/songwriter Amos Lee -- has been released.
All net proceeds from the release benefit the Midnight Mission, a homeless shelter and homeless services provider in Los Angeles. Petty supported the shelter throughout his career.
