Ovidiu Hrubaru/ShutterstockWe all see it here in Southwest Florida... development. More and more trees are being bulldozed. More homes being built. And more traffic. Well, Danny Duncan of Englewood decided to stop it, at least in his neighborhood.
Danny is a 2010 graduate of Lemon Bay and made a lot of his money on Youtube. His channel has over 6 million subscribers and many of his videos have millions of views. One of his most popular viral videos is titled "Falling with 30,000 pennies" with over 30 million views.
Duncan also has his own line of clothing entitled “Virginity Rocks,” and has a tour planned starting next month. Some of the dates are already sold out.

It's what Duncan has done with his fortune to benefit the small town of Englewood that grabbed our attention. There's an area of what was soon to be developed land in Englewood, entitled "Beachwalk Preserve".
The plan was to build over 300 homes on the 93 acre parcel. Until the YouTube celebrity and Englewood resident outbid the developer and bought the property himself. According to The Englewood Sun, Danny Duncan bought the 93.43-acre parcel for $3.69 million through Paradise Exclusive Realty.
“I was aware of the proposed development,” Duncan said in an email to The Daily Sun. “I’ll just build one house there. I do think people in Englewood will be excited to keep over 300 cars off the road in our small town that is already too busy.”
