Kim Kardashian has addressed her tone deaf "get your a-- up and work" remarks which managed to offend pretty much everyone who heard them.

While promoting the upcoming new The Kardashians series with Variety, Kim, 41, came under fire after urging women to work harder. In a video, the SKIMS founder said, "I have the best advice for women in business: Get your f---ing a-- up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days."

She added, "You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everybody loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments and show up and do the work." Even her sister Kourtney agreed and said, "That’s so true."

In a new interview with Good Morning America yesterday (March 28), Kim said her comments were "taken out of context." She told Robin Roberts, "It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way."

Kim further explained, ‘That soundbite came off of the notion and the question right before, which was, 'After 20 years of being in the business, you’re famous for being famous,' and my whole tone and attitude changed with the previous question that went into that question about what advice would you give to women."

During Sunday night’s (March 27) Oscars ceremony, hosts Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes poked fun at Kim Kardashian’s comments when they offered advice to Judi Dench after she lost the Actress in a Supporting Role to Ariana DeBose for West Side Story. Finding the Belfast actress in the audience, Regina said, “Dame Judi Dench… we have an inspirational quote for you…” Comedian Wanda added, “You know because you didn’t win tonight.” Regina continued: “A quote from Kim Kardashian… work harder.” Even the Dame herself was cackling along, whether she knows who Kim Kardashian is or not.
