Chocolate seems to be everywhere this week for Valentines. I love chocolate. I also love wine. So it makes sense that these wine inspired chocolates are a Fabulous Find this week. They are part of Norman Love Confections Valentine’s Day Chocolate Collection. I received a few boxes of them this week for Valentine’s Day and for my 1 year anniversary at Sunny 106-3. Speaking of that anniversary, we are going to have a big party to celebrate on March 6th. Norman Love Confections is joining the fun by providing some decadent treats. Please RSVP for the party so we have enough. Click here to do that.

Next, back to this Fabulous Find. I sat down with Norman before Christmas to talk about chocolate and wine pairings. The story is in print now in Naples Illustrated. You can the digital copy here. The story is on page 156.
Besides chocolate, Norman also loves wine. We had a delicious, geeky blast for this story. We started with the wine, thinking about the flavors in it, the acid, its mouth feel. Then Norman picked out a chocolate. We would take a nibble then take a sip, then repeat with another chocolate until we found the perfect pair.
I actually got a preview of the Valentine’s Day Collection, but had no idea he was crafting a pinot noir chocolate heart. Pinot is one of his favorite wines so it makes sense. He opened one of his favorite bottles while I was there. We ended with port, which I promptly spilled all over the table. Additional wine inspired flavors in the collection include Mimosa and Raspberry Rose, both amazing. Finally, the boxes have Vanilla Rum, Coffee Caramel, Coconut Cream Pie and a few more flavors.
They are all beautiful. Wine Inspired Chocolates are a Fabulous Find. Scroll down for a short video and some photos from the chocolate fest in the studio this week.
