The Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections is casting doubt upon it’s ability to reach the Thursday deadline to finish the state ordered recounts. Leaders in both the Republican and Democrat parties agree that it’s a long shot that the process of counting all the votes in all three challenged elections could be completed by the Thursday deadline.
A threat written on a bathroom wall at Island Coast High School and discovered Friday has the school on alert. Police believe the incident is a prank, but aren’t taking any chances. Look for additional security at Island Coast today..
Search and rescue teams spent much of the late afternoon looking for a boater who went overboard around 3pm near Punta Rassa. No further information is available. The search will continue this morning
Lee County police arrested 19 year old Mark Medina of Bonita Springs after a car crash Sunday morning on Corkscrew Road in which police discovered a stolen gun and a stash of Oxycodone. He’s charged with drug possession, possessing a stolen firearm and driving without a license
Naples police have arrested Brian Gomez and Anastsia Baran after a traffic stop and accused the pair of burglarizing beach bags at Barefoot Beach late last month. Police say Gomez and Baran stole close to $1,000 worth of items from beach bags, including cell phones which were traced to a Naples Pawn Shop. They’ve both been charged with Grand Theft.
