A well known local You Tube celebrity from Port Charlotte has been arrested after police say he was allegedly harassing witnesses while videotaping them while police were conducting an assault investigation. 29 year old Ian McGuire is facing charges including harassing a witness and resisting/obstructing an officer without violence. Police also found guns and ammunition in his home. He could be facing further charges.

Police have released the name of the diver who passed away during a dive off the coast of Sanibel. His name is Brian Whitaker of Cape Coral, described as an avid lover of the water. He was just 51. Police are continuing their investigation, but they don’t believe any foul play was involved.

A Cape Coral Mom is facing child neglect charges. Police say she put her 14 year old son in possible danger by encouraging him to use marijuana. Court documents show that her teenage son has suffered from health issues, related to drug use. 38 year old Shannon Orlando was arrested earlier this week. She’ll be back in court next month

Duane Chapman Mourns Wife’s Death

Dog the Bounty Hunter, aka Duane Chapman is beginning to open up about the death of his wife Beth.
"It's terrible, the most terrible time in someone's life," Chapman said to Hawaii news about Beth's death. "You kind of try to remember that you're celebrating life, but right now we're mourning the death, so it's not good."
Chapman even went on to share Beth's last words which he says were, "I love you and Are you guys all okay?"
Beth was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and declared to be in remission, but the disease returned in November of last year.

New Whitney Houston Music Dropping Today

A new Whitney Houston song is dropping Friday (June 27), well sorta.
A 1991 recording of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” was done by Whitney and initially performed in Tokyo, according to Clive Davis, the song was supposed to appear on Whitney’s “I’m Your Baby Tonight” album.
The song was remixed by to Norwegian DJ Kygo and will be available for Whitney fans across the world.

Ticketmaster Fined $4.5 Million for Misleading Sales Practices

It’s taken a year for Ticketmaster to be charged and fined for misleading sales practices.
The online ticket seller was fined $4.5 million for inflating their ticket prices between 20 and 60 percent
It was found that Ticketmaster LLC, TNow Entertainment Group Inc., and Ticketmaster Canada LP’s online prices weren’t attainable due to numerous mandatory fees that were charged during the ticket buying process.
Ticketmaster was also found to work with ticket resellers to increase their profits.

This year's Flu Vaccine Was A Disappointment

This year's flu vaccine was not effective against a strain that popped up halfway through flu season.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control And Prevention reports the overall effectiveness of the shot was only 29 percent.
Earlier in flu season, the effective level was at 47 percent.
The late flu bug was no match for the shot. The vaccine was only 9 percent effective after the new strain developed.
