Theme-park visitors at Disney’s Animal Kingdom were in for a special treat. Disney World visitors witnessed the birth of a baby zebra. They witnessed the birth of a baby Hartmann’s mountain zebra and watched him take his first steps.
According to the Disney Parks Blog, guests riding Kilimanjaro Safaris got to see the miracle of birth and the magic of nature in stunning reality. The baby zebra’s mother is named Heidi and gave birth last year as well during the lockdown. Heidi’s baby zebra is the first zebra born in the Animal Kingdom in 2021. After the mother and baby zebra bond for the next few weeks, they will join the rest of the herd.
