Bobby Brown is not happy that Warner Bros. has greenlighted the 1992 Bodyguard remake that starred his late wife Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.

TMZ met up with the former New Edition member at LAX Thursday and asked him if he thought the remake of the classic film was a bad move and he point-blank said "Yeah" without a second thought the outlet reports.

Tony-winning American playwright Mathew Lopez has been called to write a reimagined version of the 1992 classic romantic drama along with the original producer Lawrence Kasdan of Kasdan Pictures. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich of Rideback will produce as well with Nick Reynolds also from Rideback will executive produce per Variety.

The original grossed more than $400 million at the worldwide box office and has what is considered the bestselling movie soundtrack of all time according to Variety.

So far no one has been cast to play the iconic roles but Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson and Channing Tatum and Cardi B have been floated as potential leading roles per the outlet.

Fans have since reacted to the remake:
