Universal Announces Holiday Ticket Deal For Florida Residents

Living within a few hours of so many theme parks is a definite perk of living in Florida and Universal Orlando has announced a holiday ticket deal for Florida residents.

With the holidays right around the corner, you may already be feeling the Christmas spirit in the air. Personally, I like to wait at least another few weeks to put my decorations up, but I saw in my neighborhood in Fort Myers last night, someone already had their lights on. The theme parks go ALL out for the holidays, and if you want to get out of town, maybe take a little staycation to Orlando and experience Universal Orlando has some fun holiday events and of course, the parks are all decked out for Christmas.

Universal Announces Holiday Ticket Deal For Florida Residents

Right now, Florida residents can take advantage of the “Buy a Day, Get a 2nd Day Free on a 2-Park, 1-Day Park-to-Park Ticket” offer. So, you get two days at both Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure for the price of one- it’s a Merry Christmas indeed! The deal is available online only, and there is an option to upgrade to include Universal Volcano Bay water park as well. And if you can’t get up to Orlando right away, you do have until 3/6 to use the tickets.

If you do want to enjoy the holiday festivities this year, November 17th is go time. One thing I can’t wait to check out is “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I already love that part of the park, so to see it for Christmas sounds like a dream. Universal’s Holiday Parade features huge balloons and lots of characters. And if you’re a Grinch fan, you won’t want to miss The Grinchmas™ Who-liday Spectacular starring the Grinch™.

If you’re looking to get out of town and want to feel extra festive this holiday season, there’s quite a few must-visit Christmas towns in Florida to put on your list.

Enjoy a candle-lit walk through the gardens while enjoying live holiday music at the Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park. Tallahassee is also the site of the first Christmas celebrated in North America!

We love those.

      Was there anything better as a child than preparing for your visit with Santa Claus?

      We made our Christmas lists, checked them twice and prepared to sit on the jolly man’s lap as we listed off all of the things we wanted him to bring on Christmas.

      Heck, we even dealt with the itchy and scratchy Christmas outfits we were forced to wear for the special day.

      And how could we forget about the moms and dads and grandparents standing at the beginning of the sometimes hour long lines we waited in?  There they were in all of their glory trying to get us to smile so they could snap our picture with the big guy and have another Christmas memory.  Truly a wonderful tradition.

      While visiting with Santa was exciting for most kids, there were some kiddos who left terrified and maybe a little traumatized.  They did make for pretty good pictures though.  Haha

      So, where can you make these memories with Santa in Southwest Florida this holiday season?  Of course he will be at the local malls, but we’ve found some other fun events where he’ll make an appearance too!
