Yo, road rage in Collier County is getting out of control! I know sometimes people make you mad when you’re driving , but you have to try and contain yourself. Some people often take things way too far. According to NBC2, a dude named Jayson Smith, 23, got busted after going full Mad Max mode on someone else’s car. We’re taking some serious road rage in Collier County!
It all went down on Tuesday when Smith decided to use his vehicle as a battering ram at a red light. BAM! He was hitting the other car a total of three times before taking off. Because that’s what these kinds of tough guys do. They act all big and tough, and then run away like spoiled brats scared to face the consequences.
But don’t worry. Sheriff deputies were on it, though. They found Smith and booked him on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and reckless driving. The other driver? Totally fine, no injuries. But Sheriff Kevin Rambosk made it clear… If you mess around with road rage in Collier County, you’re getting a one-way ticket to jail. They ain’t playing around.

Now, this wasn’t Smith’s first incident. Dude’s been slapped with four speeding tickets, three traffic warnings, and has been in three crashes since 2021. It’s starting to sound like this dude needs a chauffeur… Or maybe just some chill pills. So where did this road rage in Collier County go down? It all happened around 2 p.m. at Oil Well Road and Everglades Boulevard North. The victim’s mom was quick on the dial, calling the sheriff’s office to report the incident. Thankfully, Detectives tracked down Smith at his house and slapped the cuffs on him.
So, even if you happen to get upset out there on these streets, keep your cool man. Because you might end up like Jayson Smith… Behind bars and with a rap sheet. Road rage in Collier County isn’t worth it.
