Disney’s Animal Kingdom Welcomes Baby Zebra
It’s an excited week in Orlando as Disney’s Animal Kingdom welcomes a baby zebra.
I’m a huge animal lover, which is one of the reasons I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom so much. Not only do I find that park absolutely beautiful, but being able to go on the Kilimanjaro Safaris and seeing all the animals out on the savanna is one of the coolest experiences ever. Last time I went, we had to stop to let a giraffe cross the road. It’s a very cool way to get up close and see these animals roaming free. And now, there’s a new baby you’ll see out there.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Welcomes Baby Zebra
Who doesn’t love baby animals? I love animals of all kinds (except snakes), but there’s something about a baby that is just so darn cute. And the next time you to go Animal Kingdom, you just may spot a baby zebra. It was announced on Disney’s Facebook page that she was born on June 13th and she’s a Hartmann’s mountain zebra. She’s not out on the savanna with mom yet, but will be very soon.
If you’re looking to take your experience one step further, I recommend staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I recently stayed there for the first time in the Jambo House and that was amazing as well. Outside my room we had ostriches, Ankole cattle and giraffes. Every morning I got excited to open the curtains to see what was out there. I loved every second of it.
An add-on at the resort, which I’d love to do one day, is the Starlight Safari. This experience will take you on a nighttime drive through the savanna. You’ll have night vision and could see over 30 species of animals. And best of all, even if you’re not staying at the resort, it’s open to all guests of Walt Disney World.
