Evacuation Update
If you’re considering an evacuation to Miami make sure you have enough gas. Reports are coming in that I75 heading towards Miami is heavily congested and in some places, stopped. You do not want to run out of gas in the Everglades. To add, a lot of gas stations in Naples are running out of gas, as you can see in this picture, Costco in Naples wrapped their pumps.
Milton’s Track
Maybe a slight change, but Milton is still heading for Tampa and projected to be in the Category 3 and even possibly a 4 at landfall. The storm will continue to hold strength as it crosses Florida, with Category 2 effects hitting Orlando. Although parts of Southwest Florida appear to be outside of the current forecast cone, we are still under a hurricane warnings. Strong winds extend far beyond the eye.
