Police are continuing to investigate the drowning of a baby girl in North Port yesterday. 20 month old Ava Perry was found in a canal about a half mile from her home. Attempts to revive her at the hospital were unsuccessful.
Three people were killed yesterday when two planes collided over the Everglades yesterday. One of the planes was from the Dean International Flying School which reportedly has been involved in several incidents involving crashes in recent years.
The Cape Coral Yacht Club was the site for a clean water forum last night. The forum was mostly residents demanding action with a few experts speaking about possible solutions to the problem, including a representative from The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation who told the audience, the algae is unpredictable, but more rain could help.
