If you are confused by it being the third time it's because she never publicly shared that she had cancer a 2nd time. The first time she was diagnosed with breast cancer was in 1992. In 2013, she was in a car accident and it was discovered that the cancer had returned but she chose not to share it publicly. The doctor's found a tumor at the base of her spine last year. She has done radiation therapy and is pursuing natural remedies. She and her husband grow medical marijuana on their Santa Barbara ranch. She remains very optimistic.
