What SWFL Is Talking About 9/12
Hurricane Florence, a powerful Category 4 storm moving closer to North Carolina and South Carolina is in the path as the tracks of the storm has changed somewhat overnight. The storm is forecast to make landfall early morning Friday between midnight and 5 a.m. as a major hurricane. A representative from FEMA said that power could be knocked out for weeks. North Carolina and Virginia could get up to 30 inches of rain while the Richmond, Virginia area and Washington, D.C., could see more than 10 inches of rain.
Locally, Police are on scene at a home on Washington Avenue off Palm Beach Boulevard after an overnight drive-by shooting. No arrests as of yet.
24 year old Charles Williams has been arrested for trying to rob a woman at gunpoint after following her home. The arrest was made thanks to an anonymous tip. The suspect has been booked into the Lee County Jail nine times.
Gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis toured the Cape Coral canals affected by the algae bloom and described the situation as rancid. DeSantis, while offering no solution to the algae crisis, described himself as a Teddy Roosevelt Conservationist and said he would work with the federal government to get the reservoir authorized.
Bruno Mars Will NOT Play Prince

- A rep for the singer said that those reports are 100% false.
- Netflix also chimed in and said that there is no such film in development.
