Police have arrested 23 year old Chisara Dawson in connection with yesterday’s shooting on Santa Barbara Blvd in Cape Coral. Police say she shot at her husband as he attempted to leave their home. She’s facing 2nd degree murder charges.

 

 

More trouble at the Bell Tower Shops as a man was arrested over the weekend for exposing his genitals in the parking lot. When police detained Michael Hanchell he was found with a latex glove, a soiled paper towel and a Bible. He also had pornography on his phone. He’s already been released from jail.

 

Collier County Police have arrested 24 year old Manual Hernandez-Jimenez of Immokalee on child abuse charges after they say he whipped a child with a cord after she wet her pants. Hernandez-Jimenez recently came to the U.S. from Guatemala. He’s in the Collier County jail.

 

 

Twitter Reportedly Removing The “Like” Button

  • In a move that could change how we use Twitter, the company’s founder is talking about removing the “LIKE” button.
  • Jack Dorsey said at a Twitter event last week that he’d like to get rid of the feature “soon.” The Telegraph reports that Dorsey was “not a fan of the heart-shaped button.”
  • Sources say the removal would hopefully encourage real debate and conversation instead of mindless liking of something someone tweeted. This might be one step in an overhaul of the social media platform.
  • Users responded to the potential change by saying there are many other things Twitter needs to fix other than getting rid of the heart.

  • Samuel Adams beer company announced that they are releasing a special limited edition Red Sox IPA. The “Damage Done Double IPA” will only be available this week.
  • In a press release, Samuel Adams said that the beer is “aged on vanilla beans with guava, mango, and lactose added for as much fun and flavor as the Sox themselves.”
  • Samuel Adams is the official beer of the Red Sox.

 

 

Teacher Breaks The News To Deaf Student That Everyone Heard Him Fart

  • Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs in the world and the job comes with many awkward teachable moments.
  • Case in point, Anna Trupiano’s deaf student farted in class. Afterward, he was wondering why everyone was staring at him.
  • Anna explained in a pretty hilarious exchange that she posted online that hearing people could actually hear farts and that is why they were all staring.
  • The first grader’s questions started pouring in from there asking everything from “can they hear ALL farts” to “how do I know which ones they can hear and which ones they can’t?”

 

 

 

 

A 28-Pound Cat Named Doughnut Needs His Forever Home

  • Weighing in at a whopping 28-pounds, Doughnut the cat is looking for a new place to live with an owner who will keep his diet right.
  • Doughnut, listed as “the biggest boii ever” is currently hanging out at a Florida animal shelter.
  • The Jacksonville Humane Society said on Facebook, “We know the extra pounds make him cute but it’s not healthy.”
