During an emergency hearing yesterday a Chief Circuit Judge said he saw no evidence of voter fraud, and that politicians need to “ramp down the rhetoric” and reassure citizens that the integrity of the Florida recount is being protected. The Judge also urged both parties and the Broward County Elections Office to add to security to ensure everything runs legally.

 

A man who fell overboard in the waters around Punta Rassa over the weekend has been identified. Jed Copham’s body was found yesterday. No further details on the incident are available.

 

Lee County Bomb Squad, FMPD and other authorities were on hand for several hours yesterday at a location on Alhambra Drive in Fort Myers investigating a suspicious package. Police haven’t released any further information.

  • Serena Williams will grace GQ as “Woman of the Year” 2018. Williams will share the honor with Jonah Hill, Michael B. Jordan, and Henry Golding.
  • GQ fans got their first glimpse of the covers on Monday, but they’ll have to wait until Thursday to read Williams’ interview.
  • GQ promised to get the scoop from Williams on her US Open moment, the Brett Kavanaugh case, and what being a black woman means in 2018 America.
  • Williams is the second woman to be featured as the Woman of the Year for GQ,Gal Gadot, who portrayed Wonder Woman was 2017 “Woman of the Year” alongside Stephen Colbert, Colin Kaepernick, and Kevin Durant.

 

 

McDonald’s Tests Cheesy Bacon Fries

  • When you think french fries you probably don’t have to think too long before you think McDonald’s.  The crispy, salty fries are probably the best out of all the fast food fries out there.
  • McDonald’s is upping the ante with new cheesy bacon fries. McDonald’s is testing the new fries at select locations in Hawaii, California, and Nevada. The cheesy bacon fries will sell between $3.50 – $3.75 and will be covered in cheese sauce and bacon bits.
  • In America McDonald’s has been quite conservative when it comes to experimenting with their star menu item, however, in foreign markets like Japan, there have been chocolate and pumpkin sauce fries.
