Following the completion of the manual recount Bill Nelson has conceded the Senate Race to Rick Scott, but things aren’t as clear yet in the Commissioner of Agriculture race. Nelson’s concession follows Andrew Gillum’s concession in the Governor’s race over the weekend.
A large police presence on McGregor Blvd early yesterday evening. Police were concentrating on a maroon truck parked at McGregor Pizza and Deli Co. K-9’s and police helicopters were in the area as well. We’re waiting for an update from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Police have arrested 34 year old Rosalie Contreras and charged her with felony child abuse after she forced a 13 year old girl to walk naked in public as punishment. It’s not clear what Conterras’ relationship is to the girl. The suspect is being held on $20,000 bail.
29 year old Angelica Lopez of Clearwater has been arrested on child neglect charges after exposing a 3 month old baby to cocaine and causing brain damage. Police say she waited 11 hours before seeking medical help for the child. She’s being hld on $20,000 bail.
